From the IdeasAboutAmerica.com website:

This site is dedicated to the idea that once was the United States. That idea was a land dedicated to freedom from government interventionism, a land that distrusted the inherent evils of a strong central government, a land of freedom. Now the United States is a land of security and rampant government interventionism.

Please, I beg of you!

Senator Bennett, Again I beg you to understand the feelings of the American people and to respond in kind - not "business as usual" in Washington. Understand us, join us, be our champion!

Using the Interstate Commerce clause or the elastic clause to justify any bill, for any "good" reason, is in the eyes of a great number of Americans, an egregious violation of the principles of the Declaration and Constitution. Please re-read that.

Will you not agree that a great many of the powers seized by the federal government are not in harmony with the founding principles of this nation? Please answer this question in your reply, because I quite frankly don't understand why congressmen continuously and increasingly disregard these principles. Please help me see from your perspective how health care bills, Patriot Acts, and government bailouts are legal under the Constitution. Please teach me--what I am missing in my interpretation of the Constitution and its original intent?

Are you out of step with your constituents? Many of us are angry and frustrated at the federal government for exercising power over issues which we see as belonging to the states or the people. Read below: Nearly 50% of the American people are VERY ANGRY with federal government policies. Why is that? Are the people out of step with their government, or is it the other way around?

A few snippets from the Rasmussen Report, as found at: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/november_2009/71_angry_at_federal_government_up_five_points_since_september .

According to Rasmussen Reports, "Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they're at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.

"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government's policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry."

The report goes on to say, "The data suggests that the level of anger is growing. The 71% who are angry at federal government policies today is up five percentage points since September. "Even more stunning, the 46% who are Very Angry is up 10 percentage points from September."

The report also states, "The latest numbers show that only nine percent (9%) of voters trust the judgment of America's political leaders more than the judgment of the American people." It further states, "Seventy-one percent (71%) believe the federal government has become a special interest group that looks out primarily for its own interests. Sixty-eight percent (68%) believe that government and big business work together in ways that hurt consumers and investors."

Rasmussen Reports goes on to say that voter opposition to the proposed health care plan, government bailouts, and higher taxes is especially high.

Again, Senator Bennett, I beg you to reconsider your traitorous legislating and get in step with the people and the document you have sworn to defend, preserve, and protect: The Constitution of the United States of America.

My support for Senator Bennett's re-election - not.

This is the response I sent to the www.bennettforsenate.com website. Please note: I wish that I could support Senator Bennett, but I can't and I won't as long as he disregards the Constitution he has sworn to defend. My response:

Senator Bennett challenges Obama on the constitutionality of "czars." That's rich! Senator Bennett gives lip service only to the Constitution. He is in the same camp with the other traitors to the Constitution. He, like other elected officials, does whatever he decides to do, regardless of the voice of the people or the fact that there is NO constitutional authority for MOST of what he legislates. There may be Americans that find this acceptable, but there are also a large number of Utahns and Americans who, like me, expect our elected Senator to valiantly and honestly sustain, protect, and defend the Constitution as he SWORE to do.

Yes, the Constitution has been trampled on in the past, and yes, a majority of our elected officials continue to trample on this sacred document, but that doesn't make it right, and doesn't justify Senator Bennett in joining the mob of lying oath-takers. How can Senator Bennett say that the recent legislation he supports is in harmony with the Constitution? It is not in harmony with the Constitution!

Does it matter that Senator Bennett and others are violating their oaths of office? Yes, yes, and yes. Well-meaning fuzzy-headed senators are selling us down the road to socialism.

Vote for Bennett? Gladly if he'll give his head a shake and stand up for the principles embodied in the Declaration and Constitution. Did you read that? GLADLY! I would love for Bennett to be my Senator, if only he would hold to the Constitution as he has sworn to do! Absent that, I have no respect for the man, and no desire to return him to office.

P.S. This has nothing to do with party politics: both major parties are equally despicable in their disrespect and disregard for the supreme law of our land. Most Democrat and Republican congressmen should be on trial for treason. Feel free to quote me on that.

At this site are quotes from hundreds of prominent figures. Here is a sample quote:

"For the first time in its history, Western Civilization is in danger of being destroyed internally by a corrupt, criminal ruling cabal which is centered around the Rockefeller interests, which include elements from the Morgan, Brown, Rothschild, Du Pont, Harriman, Kuhn-Loeb, and other groupings as well. Obama Is Not (all of) the Problem

Posted by Marty Jensen

This was written in response to an email originated by Ms. Kathleen Lyday of Hillsboro, Missouri. In her email, Ms. Lyday expressed her frustration and outrage towards President Obama, and listed some of his "un-American" attitudes and activities. I agree with Ms. Lyday. I wish to add more to the discussion and go to the heart of the matter - the erosion of our liberties by not abiding by and governing by constitutional principles.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ms Lyday,

I agree with you--President Obama is not a true American. He is not loyal to the United States. Why? Because he is a globalist. He believes America is no better than any other country. He believes that ultimately all of the world should be one government (and he's not alone). But President Obama is not the problem. The problem is that we haven't followed the Constitution as we should.

Because we haven't followed the Constitution, the Federal government has too much power. Over the years the Federal government has taken powers the Constitution does not allow it to have. The Federal government has taken over powers which belong to the people and the states.

The Founding Fathers said that our Creator made people free. They said the power to govern comes from the people. We use our power to govern by electing leaders. We give leaders power to create laws which benefit us. For example, highway laws--a set of rules we all follow to avoid accidents. But the power to make laws and enforce them was given to our leaders by we, the people. That power is ours to give, and ours to take back. The people are higher than the government.

We are the masters, the government is our servant. Government exists to serve us. But a servant can become more powerful than the masters. When this happens, the servant stops serving. It doesn't do what the masters want it to do. The servant does what it wants to do. The masters have become servants - they have lost their freedom. To prevent this the masters must limit the power of the servant and keep it limited.

It is the same with government. A government which grows too powerful stops serving. It doesn't do what the people want it to do. The government does what it wants to do. The people have become servants to the government - they have lost their freedom. To prevent this the people must limit the power of government and keep it limited.

The Founders wrote the Constitution to limit the power of government. During their lifetimes, they worked to keep the power of government limited.

Since the founding, we the people haven't done a good job of keeping the power of government limited. Our government has grown in size and power. It has stopped serving. It doesn't do what we want it to do. It does what it wants to do. We have become servants to the government - we have lost our freedom. We have become lower than the government.

In the government which has become our master, Obama is the most prominent leader. He isn't serving us. He isn't doing what we want him to do. He is doing what he wants to do. Other leaders have also stopped serving us-they are doing what they want to do. One example is the $700 billion bailout: the people overwhelmingly told their leaders not to do it. Yet they passed the bailout bill (and most of them hadn't even read it). Against our wishes, they put us in debt and are now giving away our money to bankers in America and in foreign countries. The United States are now the principle owners of very large banks and auto manufacturers. America is now a socialist, fascist nation. This is but one of many examples.

We are in grave danger of losing our freedom. We must awaken to this awful situation. The concentration of power in government is growing rapidly. We must remember what freedom is, and teach it to others. We must warn others. We must return to the Constitution before it's too late. We must protect and defend the Constitution at all costs. We must listen to what other defenders of the Constitution are saying. We must act now and insist that our elected leaders honor and follow the Constitution. We must get involved-now!

When we follow the Constitution as we should, we will have leaders who are true Americans. We will have leaders who are loyal to the United States. We will have leaders who want America to be a free nation, and not part of a world government. We will have a more limited government. We will be the masters of our government. The government will not do what it wants to do. The government will do what we want it to do. The government will once again serve. We will again be the masters. We will again be free.

The wizard to be revealed: HR1207 and S604

Posted by Marty Jensen

Hi there,

Please write your senators and congressmen/women and ask them to support HR1207 (House of Representatives) and/or S604 (Senate), bills to require disclosures by the Federal Reserve System.

As you are probably aware, the secretive Federal Reserve Bank (a misnomer) exercises tremendous control over our nation's money supply - and thus inflation - and thus our economy.

We have only a limited knowledge of what this organization is doing. This organization is basically a central banking cartel which is privately owned and answers to no one. It is NOT controlled or owned by the government, as it's purposely deceptive name ("Federal") might indicate. The banking committees in Congress do call upon the Fed and grill them with questions, but the fact remains that the Fed gives Congress as much or as little information as it wants to.

The Fed prints and creates money out of thin air - this is no secret. Recently, the balance sheet of the Fed has increased by nearly a trillion dollars - meaning it has printed or created a trillion more dollars of money. But we have almost no information about the transactions behind this money creation--where did it go? Since the Fed is not subject to audit, we have no idea where this money went. It is unacceptable that his organization continue its manipulation of money without accountability.

Many in America and in government have gone along with this preposterous situation for many decades - but recently many have called for more transparency - what is the Fed doing with the money it prints? Who does it go to? Well, the curtain is about to be pulled back on the Fed as was the curtain pulled back to reveal the mysterious and powerful wizard in the land of Oz. Legislation in both the House and Senate is calling for an audit of this private banking cartel which has control of our money.

Please contact your congressman or woman and your senator and express your desire that both the house bill HR1207 and the senate bill S604 be passed. We need to know what these central bankers are doing with our money. We need to audit the Fed and have answers about their activities.

Work together to get the word out!

Posted by Marty Jensen

We must work together to get the word out to our fellow citizens! The constitution is being ignored or violated repeatedly by all three branches of government. The result of this can only be a loss of liberty for the ordinary citizen. Here's an example: Dick Cheney has decided that the office of Vice President no longers needs to be accountable to Congress. See the article "Vice President Exempts His Office from the Requirements for Protecting Classified Information". This article was written and published by Congress' Committee on Oversight and Government Reform .

This is but one of many examples. We need to make our friends, family and neighbors aware of what has been and is happening to our liberties as guaranteed by the Constitution. Let's begin in our own communities and get the word out!
